About MTDD

About the designer: MTDD, born in Beijing in 1988, has a legal background and has worked in law, publishing, and short video industries. In 2020, he began creating his own content. In 2023, he embarked on a 12,000-kilometer self-driving journey from Beijing to Mount Kailash, and returned in 2024 to collect additional data. Using photogrammetry techniques, he reconstructed the entire sacred mountain region in the virtual world. After three focused photography expeditions, he created a complete collection of works. From February to March 2025, he hosted an art exhibition titled "Journey to Mount Kailash" at the MyPrecious Art Space in Beijing.

The current products are based on this exhibition, with further development planned.

  1. The light of the Mount Kailash

This handcrafted art piece is based on 3D modeling of Mount Kailash created from data collected in the region. In Kailash cultural beliefs, the sacred mountain is viewed as a pure, transparent crystal mountain whose light brings wisdom and tranquility. This concept has been incorporated into an illuminated mountain lamp. Using various 3D printing materials with the mountain's form as the core, the lamp expresses the wisdom, light, and pure transparent qualities that Mount Kailash represents.

The lamp features a mountain body available in transparent gold, transparent white, or opaque white, with more than ten base colors to choose from, offering rich color combinations. Available for purchase on Etsy.

  1. Mount Kailash Art Prints

From hundreds of photographs, 13 images were selected for the exhibition and displayed as fine art prints. These will be available on Etsy in various sizes, printed on canvas or fine art paper, with different framing options.

  1. VR and MR Products (In Development)

These products are currently under development. The exhibition featured a concept of Mount Kailash in a virtual reality setting. In 2024, visual data from 180 square kilometers of the Mount Kailash region was collected to reconstruct the entire area. The goal is to allow people to experience the Mount Kailash region in the virtual world through VR devices. With the continued advancement of VR and MR (Mixed Reality) technologies, such as the rapidly developing Rokid devices, more interactive possibilities will become available in the future.
