Capturing Mount Kailash: A Photographic Pilgrimage Through Sacred Peaks
Explore an extraordinary photographic journey capturing the spiritual essence of a legendary mountain peak through challenging lens work and cultural storytelling.

After tremendous effort, I carried a heavy iron load to the north face of the Holy Mountain and took a photo of the summit of Mount Kailash. Indians believe the summit of Mount Kailash is the head of the serpent on Shiva's neck. This serpent, known as Vasuki, is a divine serpent in Hinduism and also one of the eight Nāga kings in Buddhism. Mount Kailash itself is a sacred site in various religions.
